Google Search Tip

Use Quotes to Search for Phrases

If you want to search for an exact phrase on Google, such as "used car", "apple tree", or "hard drive",

it may be beneficial to place your phrase within quotes. This helps force Google to search for webpages containing the words you are looking for in your desired order.

Without the quotes, Google will probably start out returning a few queries with your words in their typed-in order, but would then start displaying resulting web pages that contain all your words but not necessarily as a phrase.

-----

SUMMARY: Force Google to treat your search query as an exact phrase as it searches the Internet.
